Anthropology (Transfer)

Ever find yourself asking, “what does it mean to be human?” You can find the answer to that question through Triton’s Anthropology program. With a degree in Anthropology, you will gain insight into the archaeological, biological, cultural, and linguistic perspectives on humanity that are critical for many career paths. Learn how and why humans evolved. Explore how our evolutionary biological, social and cultural trajectories help us understand the meaning of being human in past, present and future environments as you develop strong critical-thinking and oral and written expression skills, which are important for success in many careers.

You will learn how to use the scientific method to formulate and test hypotheses and gather qualitative and quantitative data through participant observation, interviewing, ethnographic study, careful excavation and measurement. You will also learn how to employ statistics to analyze and extract meaning from data. No matter where your ultimate path takes you, a degree in Anthropology provides you with a window into other ways of life and a better understanding of the world in which people live.

Earning an Associate’s degree at Triton can provide a seamless transfer process into private and public colleges and universities in the state of Illinois. From the moment you enroll at Triton College you will have a network of success to ensure you reach your goals. With the help of our dedicated advisors and transfer center you will be supported in developing a tailor fit academic plan, explore your options and transition in to the university of your choice.
