Triton College has an open door admission policy for high school graduates and others qualified to enter its programs. After admission, the college provides counseling to help each student determine an appropriate field of study according to individual abilities and interests.

In an effort to better serve you, Triton has implemented a virtual line management program to help decrease wait times for campus services.

The Admissions Team

College Relations Associates are the first point of contact between a prospective student and Triton College. All of our College Relations Associates can assist any student in the application and enrollment process, but each serves as the primary contact for various in-district high schools towns, and communities.

Mike Olsen, College Relations Associate

Mike was born and raised in the Triton Community. He graduated from East Leyden High School and also attended Triton College. Mike graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with a degree in Sports Management.

Mike is also Triton’s Head Track and Field Coach for both the men’s and women’s teams, which respectively finished 8th and 11th place nationally. He currently is an active member of the River Grove Lions Club.

With a love for the community and an understanding of the importance of community college for students in the area, being a College Relations Associate is a perfect fit.

Mike serves the communities of Elmwood Park, Forest Park, Oak Park, River Forest, River Grove, Rosemont, Harwood Heights and Norridge.

Daniela Vitale, College Relations Associate

Daniela is a first-generation Chicago native, born and raised in Triton’s very own community.

She briefly attended Guerin College Preparatory High School in River Grove, and went on to graduate from Maine South High School.

Daniela is an Illinois community college graduate. That choice both led Daniela to experience the vast benefits of attending a community college as well as ultimately graduating debt free from Northeastern Illinois University.

Her own educational experiences and passion for building relationships have helped her as a higher education professional. For over ten years Daniela has worked with a diverse population of students, educating and guiding them through their next steps in their academic goals.

Daniela serves the communities of Brookfield, LaGrange Park, North Riverside, Riverside, and Norwood Park.

The College Relations Associates Office is located on the first floor of the Student Center, B Building, Room B-110A.

Visit Campus

If you're interested in seeing our campus and facilities, our admissions team is happy to provide a tour. Walk-in tours are available Monday - Thursday, 4-6 p.m. in Room B-110A (No Appointment required, but recommended).

This general tour gives future students a chance to view the campus and ask questions. It also provides a feel for the campus environment and everything Triton College has to offer.

If you would like to schedule a tour, or aren't able to visit campus during the open walk-in time, you can do so by:

Itinerary will be sent with confirmation email. It will include instructions for the tour.

In addition to a tour of our campus and facilities, the sessions include an opportunity for conversations with admissions representatives, as well as an overview of the steps for enrollment as a new student.

Group Campus Tours

Scheduling a campus tour provides an overall look at Triton’s academics, support services and other important information about the college. A group tour allows students the chance to view the campus and ask questions, and provides a feel for the campus environment and everything Triton College has to offer.

Group Tour Schedule

Tuesday & Thursday (high school) 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Wednesday (middle school) 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All group tours will begin on the Triton College East Campus at the Robert M. Collins Center (R-Building) unless other arrangements have been made.

Group Requests can be made by:

Welcome Center

Triton College’s Welcome Center is located in the Student Center (B Building).

The Welcome Center is designed to provide current and prospective students with all the navigation tools to be successful at Triton College.

At the Welcome Center, a student can receive the following services:

  • Opportunity to meet with an available counselor in the walk-in counseling center
  • Direction and hours for taking the placement exam
  • Portal assistance
  • Assistance in using Triton's website
  • Pickup of transcripts if ordered from Transcripts
  • Registration

Residence Policy

The tuition rate is determined by the student's residence. Residence policy does not apply to international students on a visa. The student must meet the following criteria to be considered a resident of the district:

  • Must have occupied a dwelling in the district for 30 days prior to the start of classes
  • Must provide a photo ID
  • Must demonstrate district residency by providing at least two of the following documents:
  • Illinois driver's license
  • Automobile registration
  • Property tax statement
  • Lease or purchase agreement
  • Utility or telephone bill
  • Library card
  • Other appropriate dated documentation
  • Triton College mail is excluded

Out-of-District Resident Employed In-District

A student who resides outside of the Triton College district, but is employed by a company or organization within the district, will be entitled to in-district tuition rates if the following conditions are met:

  1. The student and an authorized agent of the company must complete the In-District Worker Form, verifying that the student is employed at least 35 hours per week. This form can be found in the Records Office, located in B-220, and must be submitted prior to the start of the semester.
  2. The student must submit a recent pay stub indicating that he/she is employed at least 35 hours per week by a company or organization within the district or provide other means of employment verification.
  3. The student must be employed at least 35 hours per week.
  4. A new In-District Worker Form must be submitted each semester, prior to the start of classes, to confirm eligibility.
