Attend an Upcoming Library Event
The Triton College Library hosts a wide variety of events and presentations throughout the year, which are open to the community.
Upcoming events include:
Lunch with TED: The World of Plastic
Plastic has fundamentally changed the world we live in. But, with the benefits came the problems. Join the conversation: Are we poisoning ourselves with plastic? Are we burying ourselves in mountains of plastic refuse? What's to be done?
Join us to watch powerful, compelling TED Talks from engaging thinkers and brilliant minds! Bring your lunch and join in on the conversation!
Hosted by Dr. Dubravka Juraga
Monday, Sept. 17, 12 p.m., Room- B102/103
Too Old for School? Maybe NOT!
More and more people are returning to school after one career to get an education and skill set for the second, or even third, career. Experts tell us that almost everyone today will have not one, but several, careers in their lifetime. What are the challenges, problems, and positive aspects that people going back to school in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and beyond encounter?
Join us for a conversation and/or share your own experience with a panel of Triton students and staff who have done this: Bob Cummuta, Kamallah Kaplan, Michael Ciccione, and Dr. Dubravka Juraga.
Thursday, Sept. 27, 12 p.m., Room A-321
