Calling all Volunteers: Seniors Training Academy Recruits (STARS) Program – July 10 & 23
The Cook County Sherriff’s Police Training Academy and Triton College’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) are looking for older adults who want to volunteer for a new instructional program that helps police recruits refine their interviewing and report writing skills.
Training for the Seniors Training Academy Recruits (STARS) program is Tuesday, July 10, at 2:30 p.m. in Room R-211, located in the Robert Collins Center (R Building) on Triton’s east campus, 2000 5th Ave., River Grove. The Senior Recruit Interview Day will take place on Monday, July 23, from noon to 4 p.m. in Room R-221.
Refreshments will be served on Monday, July 23, the day of the actual interviewing. Each participant will receive a certificate of appreciation upon completion of the Senior Recruit Interview Day.
