Jazz, Holiday Music Featured at Upcoming Free Concerts

Whether you’re looking for some music to help put you in the holiday mood, or would prefer to tap into your jazzy side, Triton College’s Visual, Performing and Communication Arts Department has you covered with a trio of upcoming FREE concerts.   

Triton College Community Band Holiday Concert
Monday, Dec. 3
7:30 p.m.

Warm up to the sounds of the season. This event features winter and holiday music that just might have you singing along.

Triton Community Choir
Tuesday, Dec. 4
7:30 p.m.
Nathalie Colas, director
Join the Triton Choir for a festive evening of sacred and secular Christmas music, ranging from medieval to jazz styles.

Fall Big Band Concert
Thursday, Dec. 6 
7:30 p.m.
Featuring
The Triton College Big Band, Tim Burns, director
and
The Triton College Jazz Combo, James Davis, director

Enjoy an evening of jazz music, ranging from swing to bebop to Latin and contemporary selections. Along with the Triton jazz combo, this concert will feature music of the jazz greats such as Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Stand Kenton, Miles Davis and Horace Silver.
